Groningen Airport Eelde

Groningen Airport Eelde was founded in 1931. It was a small airfield where aircraft would sometimes be parked amongst the sheep. Today, it is a fully-fledged international airport just a stone’s throw from the city of Groningen.

Qbuzz buses take you to Groningen Airport Eelde easily and stress-free. A shuttle bus (line 100) runs between Groningen Airport Eelde, the city centre and Groningen Central Station. The shuttle bus connects with arriving and departing scheduled flights and stops at Groningen HS and Groningen Zuiderdiep.

Missed bus 100? You can also get to the airport on bus 9 (Groningen – Eelde). Travellers coming from the direction of Assen can take bus 50 (Assen – Groningen) to De Punt. De Punt is about 0.5 kilometres from the airport. Here you can change to bus 9, which will drop you off at the airport. A single ticket costs €5 and can be bought on the bus.
