Wadapartja simply stands for: ‘How very special.’ This is what any Groningen resident would say if they walk in somewhere or see something out of the ordinary or something special. And we are! At Wadapartja you can shop, eat and drink during the day and evening. We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, homemade sweets and nice snacks & appetizers. One of the typical things about us, everything is for sale. We have a store, but also the tables, lamps, spoons and even the art on the walls is for sale! We find it important that you know what you eat. That’s why we use ‘Beter Leven *’ chicken and eggs, local Porc d’or pork and beef fromout the provence. We also work with a quite some local suppliers, like our Bax beers, biodynamic vegetables from ‘Eemstuin’, specialty coffee from Koffiestation and sustainable bread from our local baker Luuk. SiO2 is located at the Oudeweg 20 in the city of Groningen. Jakobine von Dömming and Hein van de Water can be found in their glass studio almost on a daily basis and this is where they use various techniques, such as glassblowing and blending, stained glass, engraving and sandblasting. SiO2 has extensive experience in restoring stained windows and antique glassware, such as crystal carafes and other utensils. SiO2 provides almost any type of glass processing, advice and support in addition to workshops and glass techniques. They also sell a singular collection of dishes, lighting and glass objects, all of them handmade, for a reasonable price and naturally made from glass.

We serve delicious and fair trade coffee, roasted by Single Estate.. Our tea sommelier guarantees that you are in for a really good cup of tea. All of our cakes are homemade. Our apple pie comes from a long family tradition. We are open daily for breakfast or tastings, to be served at any time of the day. At our candlemakery you can make your own candles. There are different possibilities: from dipping your own candles to making a candle from your own hand (wax-hand)! ?In this candlemakery all candles are made by hand and in the old-fashioned way.
