Oldambt Galleries

Cilia de la Court exhibits her sculptures in her own home and garden. In the romantic garden, you’ll find her sculptures, made from white clay with red accents. As the sculptures are unglazed, they can be displayed outdoors without any problems. Inside her home, her paintings are on display. Clocks, vases and paintings are on display in the shop window facing the street. If you’d like to see more, you’re always welcome to ring the doorbell or make an appointment by phone.

At Atelier Blossom you’ll find paintings in oil, cold wax and ink drawings. The artworks convey a great deal of emotion, including the commissioned pieces. These often depict pets, memories or people. This artist’s independent work frequently features landscapes, life models or portraits. The artist is a member of various art societies and takes part in the Tweekarspelen Art Route every year.

Galerie Di Vetro is an art gallery on the outskirts of Winschoten town centre. Glass art takes centre stage in this gallery, whilst the gallery’s garden also features sculptures. These sculptures demonstrate that glass art fits perfectly into a garden. Thanks to their varied colours and shapes, the works take on a surprising appearance at any time of day.

Waarkunst is nestled in the countryside of Oldambt. A paradise in summer, rugged and desolate in winter. Set within this landscape, Waarkunst stands as an oasis of culture in an otherwise predominantly agricultural setting. Waarkunst hosts a variety of exhibitions, ranging from paintings to installations. Outside, there is a large garden where even more sculptures and installations can be seen. The garden features a lovely tea room where they serve a variety of tasty drinks and delicious cakes.

Yvonne Struys’ studio is located in the old hall church in Nieuwolda. Despite the church’s traditional appearance, the art created here is far from traditional. The art Yvonne creates is idiosyncratic and unique. She describes it herself as art inspired by the countryside and music. She loves to interweave her artworks with old folk tales and myths. The materials she likes to work with are old and weathered; her work is distinctive and unique.
