Children’s farm and climbing trail surrounded by nature
At zorgboerderij De Mikkelhorst eco-friendly zorgboerderij De Mikkelhorst, you can let off steam in the large playground and stroke the goats at the petting farm. If you’re too old for the slide (are you ever really?), you can have a peek inside the wood-chopping area and buy a lovely block of cheese in the farm shop. It’s free and, what’s more, a brilliant spot for children’s parties.
Climbing and swinging
The location itself is fantastic: south of the city of Groningen on the outskirts of Haren and, what’s more, surrounded by lush greenery. But you’re probably not here (just) for the green trees. The playground at De Mikkelhorst is lovely and big. Climb up the wooden climbing frame, build your own castle in the sandpit and race around on the pedal cars.
Animals and the Climbing Trail
Fond of animals? Of course, it is a farm for a reason. At the petting zoo, you can cuddle furry and feathered farm animals. Around the farm there is a real climbing path. This allows you to learn all about the animals on and around De Mikkelhorst while climbing. You set off with a rucksack full of things and assignments. Along the way, you will brave bridges, ropes and tree trunks.
