Pieterzijl, Lauwerszijl - On the Lauwers, which runs from Stroobos to Zoutkamp, you can enjoy boating or supping. Enjoy the rippling water while watching a kingfisher fly ahead. Along the way, there are opportunities to moor and enjoy the peace and quiet. Sail towards Zoutkamp, the historic fishing village with its fishing museum, many fish restaurants and colourful cottages or go through the lock towards National Park Lauwersmeer.
Watersports centre Lettelbert
Lettelbert - Actively explore the watery Westerkwartier? From Watersports Centre Lettelbert, you can canoe various routes from 2.5 to 12 kilometres. You can also go there for a cup of coffee and a delicious piece of homemade cranberry cake. You can paddle to the Leekstermeer lake within half an hour. For panoramic views, canoe to Enumatil. You then pass the Lettelberterdijk. This is a new water storage area where many water birds live. Sometimes thousands at a time.

Westerkwartier - Fancy casting out your fishing rod? In the Westerkwartier, you can enjoy fishing at the many canals, ponds, harbours and moorings. Groningen is bursting with the very best fishing spots. What is a good fishing spot for you depends on the fish you want to catch. But we will give you a few tips. The Van Starkenborgh canal, the Hoendiep and the Lettelberterplas are good places to fish. In almost all municipal waters you can fish with your VIS pass.

Aduarderzijl, Schaphalsterzijl - With the Reitdiepveer, you sail in 15 minutes between the two moorings at the ancient locks of Aduarderzijl and Schaphalsterzijl. The Reitdiep forms the natural separation between National Landscape Middag-Humsterland and the Hogeland. Several years ago, the idea arose to connect both historic landscapes via a ferry service. This makes it easy to combine cycling and hiking routes of the Hogeland and Middag-Humsterland.
