Our work portrays two fictional artists: Katarzyna Kozyra and Banasha Suleimankheil. Through these characters, we critique the cruelty of the art world, where trauma and personal narratives are often exploited and glorified. Trauma becomes a form of entertainment, increasing an artist’s market value, something we find perverse. Katarzyna and Banasha are trapped on multiple levels: the constant pressure of the professional field, the weight of patriarchy, and the demands of consumer society.

Our work portrays two fictional artists: Katarzyna Kozyra and Banasha Suleimankheil. Through these characters, we critique the cruelty of the art world, where trauma and personal narratives are often exploited and glorified. Trauma becomes a form of entertainment, increasing an artist’s market value, something we find perverse. In the major retrospective exhibition “My Nemesis”, Katarzyna Kozyra dives into the relationship with her best friend and life-long enemy Banasha Suleimankheil. She looks back at this turbulent but very meaningful friendship to portray a decade of exchange between two strong-willed women trapped in a female artist’s body. Their lives were a constant competition but also the driving force behind their oeuvre. Who was the most traumatised artist? The most fuckable? The true feminist activist? With a hunger for success bordering on madness they exploited their beauty, sexuality, ethnicity, traumas, and just like Barbara Kruger, turned their bodies into a battleground.
Over de makers Manizja Kouhestani (zij/haar) is actrice en theatermaker. In 2021 speelde ze in A Separation en in 2023 toerde ze met About Elly, beide van tg STAN. In december 2025 volgt een Franse tournee van About Elly. In 2024 liep ze stage in het stuk Dwarskijker van De Roovers en Het Zomeroffer van De Warme Winkel. In november 2024 speelde ze mee in de herneming van Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? van Dood Paard. Momenteel speelt ze in The Voice of Fingers van Thomas Bellinck en Said Reza Adib.
**Fiene Zasada **(zij/haar) is actrice en theatermaker. In 2022 stond ze op de planken in de voorstelling De Duivels/Les Diables van Krapp en KVS. In 2024 studeerde ze af met de voorstelling This Is Not a Love Song, die ze samen met Joshua Smits maakte. Ze werden nadien geselecteerd door Theater Aan Zee (TAZ). Momenteel speelt ze in Fairy Tales van Tibaldus.
