Op dinsdag 7 oktober organiseert Classic Jamming in Y2 een jamsessie die open is voor publiek en musici van elk niveau en elke achtergrond. Julllie zijn van harte welkom!
De deuren gaan open om 20u.
Om 20u30 start de openingsact: het Mouth of Motion Choir.
Na dit optreden en een korte pauze begint de eigenlijke jamsessie.
De toegang is gratis maar een donatie voor de openingsact is welkom.

The Mouth of Motion Choir is a project born out of a collaboration with the body dancers from the Back to the Body program of the theatre company NITE in Groningen. This choir explores the effect of vocal improvisation on the body and movement.
The choir is a blend of vocalists and sound-makers of all different levels and musical backgrounds. They work with improvisation techniques like ‘vocal painting’ and ‘circlesong’, inspired by artists like Bobby Mcfarren, Jim Daus Hjernøe, and Meredith Monk. The music borrows aspects from different genres and works on a spectrum that is sometimes hypnotizing in its minimalism and conversely raw, primal, and human.

over Classic Jamming:
Classic Jamming is een initiatief voor muzikanten in het algemeen en klassieke muzikanten in het bijzonder. De organisatie biedt muzikanten de kans los te komen van dogma’s. Het is dé Groninger broedplaats voor avontuurlijke klassieke muziek.
Bij de maandelijkse workshops en jamsessies stappen de deelnemers uit hun comfortzone, experimenteren met vrije improvisatie en leren van fouten vondsten te maken. (…)
De muziek gaat alle kanten op: van warme, impressionistische klanken tot atonale improvisaties. De deelnemers spelen niet volgens een vooraf vastgesteld format. Alle muziek ontstaat en verdwijnt in het moment.
De jamsessie is gratis toegankelijk voor iedereen, muzikanten en publiek!
Classic Jamming organiseert jamsessies in Brouwerij Martinus op de eerste dinsdag van de maand.
Af en toe wordt uitgeweken naar andere lokaties.
