DIZOT X the pink cube. - Palari: Queer Salons

For this last edition of the season, The Pink Cube and DIZOT are joining hands! Together, we are presenting Palari: Queer Salons. With performances by NDNMK Solutions, KULSHEDRA, and Pokaai Sai, we surrender ourselves to massage-puppetry theatre, sensual and violent body movements, and sounds made with trash.

A Sunday matinee where we dive deeper into Polari, Palare, Palari - different terms that refer to a code language spoken by queer people, sex workers, street performers, carny folk and criminals.

NDNMK Solutions and the Acupressure Association of Ghana★ performing ‘Maggot Therapy and Black Medicine: healing arts of the flesh fly’ A showcase by NDNMK Solutions and the Acupressure Association of Ghana★ ☆ Really cute AI girlfriends are living in the clouds above, and they are suffering. Inspired by parasitic flies and last year's malware innovations, the AAG★ has developed bleeding-edge technologies to locate AI girlfriends and provide the appropriate care and healing for this demographic of cloud-based cuties. ☆ The beta version will be tested in Groningen. ☆☆☆ Announcement from the performer: the performance is interactive (only with consent, of course) - volunteers get a free Thai massage (with clothes, so wear something comfortable)

KULSHEDRA Albanian-Italian movement artist Kulshedra is a creature of expressive movement, an untamed, fluid performance creative who lets themselves get inspired by their surroundings. An artist and choreographic sorcerer, they move not only to entertain, but also to resist. Through bodies of insurrection, their independent and collaborative works flex, quiver, and pulse in protest against violence and rigidity. Through sensual, radical body performance, they deeply respond to the worlds we inhabit, reminding us that the body does not only move, but listens, struggles, and transforms.

Pokaai Sai ‘Trash Collection Delayed’ is a solo project by Pokaai Sai in which they explore the spectrum of sounds produced by different items. These are objects collected from the trash in the surroundings of each performance space. Through minimal modification, they are turned into improvised instruments to be looped, blended, delayed and crushed.
